From local festivals to live entertainment to not-so-spooky Halloween activities… here are the events to add to your fall itinerary.

SEPTEMBER

Performances at Lincoln Amphitheatre – The stage lights up with live music from Southern Accents: Tribute to Tom Petty on September 4 and Hard Day’s Night: Beatles Tribute Band on September 25.

Kids World at Holiday World – Saturdays and Sundays through September 19 at Holiday World are even more fun. Enjoy magic shows, jugglers, balloon artists, and more kid-friendly fun!

Live Music at Monkey Hollow Winery and Distillery – Saturdays in September (and October!) are for live music and local sips!

Live Music at Pepper’s Ridge Winery – Every Saturday and Sunday in September and October, enjoy live, local performances with your tastings!

Blues on the Rock – Head to Rockport City Park on September 5 for a family-friendly music festival showcasing local and national blues artists.

Dale Fall Festival – The county’s largest street festival offers carnival rides, live entertainment, and more family fun, September 9 – 11!

Grandview Open Disc Golf Scramble – Play at your own pace for fun prizes at Grandview Park, September 9 – 12.

Grandview Fall Festival – The popular local festival celebrates its 75th year with games, entertainment, vendors, and food, on September 10 and 11.

On the Hill 5K – The popular race at Saint Meinrad Archabbey is back on September 11 with in-person and virtual options.

Chrisney Fall Fest – The annual fall festival is fun for the whole family, with rides, kids’ games, food, parade, and more, September 16 – 18.

Halloween Weekends at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort – Have a spooktacular stay on weekends, September 17 through October 30. Lots of Halloween fun, including costume and decorating contests, movie nights, and more.

Honest Abe Trail Run – Sign up for a scenic race through the woods at Lincoln State Park on September 19.

St. Meinrad Rocks Fest – St. Meinrad Park comes to life on September 24 and 25 for two days of music, vendors, food, and fun.

Lincoln Flyer Train Ride – All aboard! Take a round-trip ride on a vintage train across the scenic southern Indiana landscape on September 25 or 26.

Spencer County Fair – Carnival rides, pageants, a demolition derby, food… enjoy it all September 29 – October 2!

OCTOBER

Happy Halloween Weekends at Holiday World – Fall fun weekends, featuring corn mazes and more, kick off September 25 and continue through October 31.

St. Francis of Assisi Octoberfest – On October 2, head to the St. Nicholas Church Pavilion for a day of food, fun, and fellowship!

Performances at Lincoln Amphitheatre – The season wraps up with Wreking Crue: Tribute to Motley Crue on October 2.

Fall Fun Fest and Friends Fall Frolic – Lincoln State Park is the place to be for fall-themed kids’ activities—every Saturday in October.

Kids Days at Pumpkins and More Farm Market – Paint pumpkins, go on hayrides, and try the “Pumpkin Smasher,” Sundays all month long!

Mt. Zion AppleFest – October 9 and 10 celebrate the 40th annual Applefest with arts and crafts vendors, food, and Indiana’s largest apple pie!

Santa Claus Touch-A-Truck – On October 23, kids of all ages can get up close and personal with fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, and a helicopter!

Harvest Party – Bring the family to Monkey Hollow Winery and Distillery on October 23 for complimentary wine samples, free food, tours, and live music.

Fall Heritage Day – Step back in time at Lincoln Pioneer Village & Museum on October 23 to experience costumed interpreters, demonstrators, kids’ activities, music, food, and more.

Haunted Barn at Pumpkins and More Farm Market – Scare up a good time with a visit to the Haunted Barn on October 23 and 24.

All Hallows’ Eve – Hear the Legend of Sleepy Hollow at Santa Claus Museum & Village on October 30… there might just be an appearance by the Headless Horseman himself!

Craft Show at Pumpkins and More Farm Market – Find gifts, crafts, and more when a wide variety of vendors set up shop on October 30.
