With a theme park, a national park, and a state park, the Santa Claus, Indiana, area is rich with outdoor spots to explore throughout the year. But when the calendar flips to fall, the great outdoors turn into the greatest outdoors! 

From Halloween-themed sights at Holiday World to fall colors on brilliant display at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, here’s where to go to experience the season in all its glory.

1. Though Lake Lincoln inside Lincoln State Park has been drained to allow for dam repairs in 2025, visitors can still appreciate the park's scenic fall beauty... and enjoy fishing at the park's lesser-known lake, Weber Lake!

2. Have not-so-scary Halloween fun at Holiday World during Happy Halloween Weekends and enjoy trick-or-treating, corn mazes, haunted houses, and more throughout the park.

3. Book a fall getaway at one of the area’s cottages or cabins and enjoy quality time around the campfire every night. Don’t forget to bring the s’mores fixins’!

4. Pumpkins & More Farm Market and Lakeview Orchards host family-friendly fall events on the farm throughout the season, including pumpkin-themed games, hayrides, and more.

5. Think drive-in movies are just for summer? Pack up some blankets and head to Holiday Drive-In for a magical movie night under the fall night sky!

6. Is there a better time than fall to hit the links at Christmas Lake Golf Club or The Rustic Golf Course? You can enjoy your favorite game along with some of the prettiest views of the season.

7. Feel the crunch of fall leaves under your feet as you explore the cabins at Lincoln Pioneer Village & Museum. And don’t forget to check out Fall Heritage Day for even more fun!
