We get a lot of questions at the Spencer County Visitors Bureau. And some we get a lot more frequently than others. So, we’ve compiled the FAQs we’ve been hearing lately… and we’re giving you the answers you’re looking for!
Santa is available periodically throughout the year at the Santa Claus Christmas Store and the Santa Claus Museum & Village. Check with each attraction before you visit.
You sure can! Kids (of all ages) can write a letter to Santa in the town’s original post office located at the Santa Claus Museum & Village. You can also send your letters from home. Just mail to Santa Claus, PO Box 1, Santa Claus, IN 47579, by December 12, 2026, to receive a reply by Christmas!
For the best prices on park tickets, visit the Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari website. If you know when you’re visiting, purchase a “Pick Your Date” ticket. If you have a more flexible itinerary, try an “Any Day” ticket. And if you’re a nurse, first responder, or member of the military, check out special reduced rates just for you.
A little rain doesn’t have to put a damper on your visit. There’s plenty of indoor fun available to help you wait out the storm! Museums, shopping, wineries… find ideas for chasing the rainy day blues away.
Before you visit and while you’re here, this is important information to have! The attractions, stores, and restaurants throughout the area all set their own hours, so there’s no one answer to the question. But we’ve compiled a handy listing to let you know “What’s Open” when! These hours are updated every month but are always subject to change. If you have questions about a specific business’ hours, it’s always best to call in advance to double-check.
From live entertainment to local fairs and fests… it seems like there’s always something happening around the area. Be sure to check our Events page to find out what’s happening while you’re here!
Postcards and other keepsake items are available to commemorate your visit to Santa Claus, Indiana, and sites throughout Lincoln’s Indiana Boyhood Home. Visit the Santa Claus Christmas Store, Evergreen Boutique & Christmas Shop, Holiday Foods, Santa Claus Museum & Village gift shop, Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial Visitor Center, and the Lincoln Pioneer Village & Museum gift shop.
It’s easy to work up an appetite when you’re having so much fun! And whether you’re enjoying the day at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari or learning about Lincoln at Lincoln Pioneer Village & Museum, there’s a great place to eat nearby.
Pets are an important part of your family, so of course, you want to travel with them! And there are plenty of spots where dogs are welcomed with open arms, including lodging, restaurants, and attractions. Check out this guide for planning your pet-friendly getaway.
That depends on when you’re visiting. The special Santa Claus picture postmark is only available during the month of December. During December, you can visit the Santa Claus Post Office and hand cancel your mail. Not visiting in December, but want the picture postmark? When the annual postmark becomes available in December, you can mail your cards, letters, or other items to the Santa Claus Post Office and request the postmark. Watch for the announcement of the 2021 postmark guidelines in November.
