Imagine waking up after a restful sleep and placing your feet on beautiful hardwood floors that lead to a spacious kitchen where you can cook breakfast while taking in the peaceful countryside views.
Welcome to Wilmes Farmhouse.
This inviting vacation home sits not too far from the interstate on a winding county road and is a popular lodging choice among vacationers looking for a place to stay near Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari.
Built in the early 1900s, the Wilmes Farmhouse still boasts the original oak trim and provides a rustic charm. Modern appliances and comfortable beds, along with the home being fully equipped with necessities that you may need during your stay (laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, etc.) make for a relaxing vacation. Plus, the owners remain in contact to ensure that your needs are taken care of.
During a visit a few years ago, the Visitors Bureau, armed with a GoPro camera, received a tour of the house. The gigantic bathroom, a cool antique dollhouse in the children’s room, and a serene balcony (Gina Wilmes, owner, said that many guests enjoy their morning coffee there) that hangs off the upper level were certainly personal favorites.
