Ever find yourself saying, “This is the year I’m going to get my Christmas decorations up early?” And if you even get around to stringing lights and adorning your yard with Christmas décor, you feel extremely accomplished. Like you saved Christmas or something? And of course you reward yourself with some eggnog, because you know, your inner Clark Griswold deserves it.
Meet the Louckas family. They start planning their Christmas light display in January each year.
JANUARY!
I do good to wrap my presents by Christmas Eve….okay…purchase presents by Christmas Eve. Maybe I should take a cue from their early planning?
With their synchronized lights and animated figures all set to holiday music, this carefully mastered light display literally backs up traffic during the Christmas Lake Village Festival of Lights. When you’re toward the back of the line, you may wonder, “What’s going on? Why so slow?” But, as you approach the home, tune into their radio station (customized just for this occasion), and watch with the eyes of a child, you’ll understand.
Catch a glimpse of their dazzling light show…plus watch as the Louckas family reveals what goes into creating this spectacular display in this video:

Don’t miss your chance to see for yourself this month!
Christmas Lake Village will open its gates to the public on Saturday, December 13 and 20, for visitors to drive through several miles of homes adorned with Christmas lights.
