Lincoln had a little lamb...

On this day in 2011, it was a very special day at the Living Historical Farm in Lincoln City, Indiana, as two new lambs were welcomed into the world! The Lincoln Boyhood National Park Rangers gathered around to see the new additions to the farm and were surprised to see, not one, but TWO lambs born within the hour. The sweet little lambs were born on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at approximately 4:45 pm CST. The mother gave birth to one girl lamb, referred to as an ewe, and one boy lamb, commonly called a ram. These adorable lambs do not have names yet, but you can help decide what they should be called by going to the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial Facebook Page and suggesting your creative ideas! (How about something fun like Bonnie & Clyde or Bo & Peep!) These two are going to be a great addition to the Living Historical Farm. Come out this spring and summer to see all the animals living on the farm plus lots of other livestock!
