When Dory told Nemo to “just keep swimming,” she meant he should never give up. But it’s also good advice for visitors to the area. For a vacation that’s fun for the whole family, find a place where you can “just keep swimming”!
Stay and Swim
If you want to take a dip first thing in the morning or right before hopping into bed for the night, you should choose lodging that offers swimming facilities. Luckily, this area has some great options: Baymont Inn and Suites – Their indoor pool is perfect for days when it’s just too hot (or cold or rainy) to go outside. Comfort Inn & Suites – Another great choice for indoor swimming! Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort – This is the place for water lovers! Swimmers of all ages will love the Blitzen Bay swimming pool, plus Santa’s SplashDownWaterPark and splash pad. (The resort’s new RAINDeerWaterWorks, featuring water slides, interactive water games, and the giant Rudy bucket is opening soon!) Lincoln Pines Lakefront Resort – Among the resort’s many amenities is a beautiful pool area with splash pad and lounge chairs. Lincoln State Park – Staying at the campground or in one of the rental cabins? Then you have perfect access to the beach at Lake Lincoln. (Don’t worry if you’re not staying at the park, the beach is open to the public!) Motel 6 – Wrap up a busy day of sightseeing with a dip in the hotel’s outdoor pool. Santa’s Lakeside Cottages–A beautifully landscaped pool area with splash pad is a highlight of this resort. Santa’s Lodge – Regardless of the weather, you can always swim here, thanks to both indoor and outdoor pools! Not a guest? Pool passes for non-guests are available for a small fee. Stones Motel – End your day under the sun in the motel’s outdoor pool.
Make a Splash
Of course, one of our visitors’ favorite ways to make a splash is at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari. Enjoy everything from the thrills of the Cheetah Chase launched water coaster to a relaxing float down Bahari River.
