Halloween Weekend Things to Do in the Santa Claus, Indiana, Area

When it comes to holidays, the Santa Claus, Indiana, area really knows how to celebrate. But we don’t only go all out for Christmas. At Halloween, we know just how to scare up fun things to do for boys and “ghouls” of all ages.  

From pumpkin painting to trick-or-treating, there’s tons of family fun happening Halloween weekend!  

Halloween Weekend Events 

Holiday World Happy Halloween Weekends and Halloween in the Sky Drone Show – The park ends its season on October 29, wrapping up its Happy Halloween Weekends with Halloween-themed shows, haunted houses, corn mazes, and more. Stick around until closing on Saturday night for the Halloween in the Sky Drone Show. 

Sun Outdoors Lake Rudolph Halloween Weekends – Staying at Sun Outdoors Lake Rudolph this weekend? The Halloween fun is endless, with costume contests, trick-or-treating, golf car parades, and so much more! 

Lincoln State Park Fall Fun Fest – Hayrides, pumpkin painting, kids’ games and activities, and more are on the schedule at the park for Saturday, October 28. Staying at the campground? Guests are invited to trick or treat at the campsites!

All Hallow’s Eve at Santa Claus Museum & Village – This popular annual event invites guests to gather in the historic Santa Claus Church on Saturday, October 28, to hear an interactive reading of the classic ghost story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. 

Beloved Farms Halloween Bash and Fall in Love with the Farm – Beloved Farms is in the fall spirit! Come early on Saturday, October 28, for farm-fresh fall fun, including hayrides, a petting zoo, and more. Stick around for frightfully delightful Halloween activities, like costume and pumpkin contests, games, and more. 

Craft Show at Pumpkins & More Farm Market – It’s almost scary just how many artists, crafters, and vendors will be on hand to delight shoppers at Pumpkins & More’s annual craft show on Saturday, October 28. 

Fall Heritage Day at Lincoln Pioneer Village – Well, you might not see any ghosts, but you’re sure to feel the spirit of Abraham Lincoln as you step back in time for costumed interpreters, demonstrators, and more at Fall Heritage Day on Saturday, October 28.

Yellig Park Trick-or-Treat Trail – Trick or treating—and so much more! Kids are invited to enjoy fun activities, costume contests, and more as they fill their pumpkins with sweets on Saturday, October 28.  

Howl on the Rock – Grab the kids and head to Rockport City Park on Saturday, October 28, for trunk-or-treating, costume contest, car show, food, and music. And be sure to stick around until dusk for the biggest treat of all: fireworks! 

Live Music at Monkey Hollow Winery and Distillery and Pepper’s Ridge Winery – Looking for Halloween weekend fun that’s a little more grown up? Enjoy local sips and live music at Monkey Hollow Winery and Distillery on Saturday, October 28, and at Pepper’s Ridge Winery on Saturday, October 28, and Sunday, October 29. 

More Things to Do Halloween Weekend 

There are plenty more things to do throughout the Santa Claus, Indiana, area over Halloween weekend. 

Hit the trails at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial to enjoy peak fall colors. And head to Holiday Drive-In to watch a scary (or not-so-scary) movie during their last weekend of the season. 

Or if indoor fun is what you’re looking for, shop ’til you drop for everything from clothing to candy to Christmas décor. Then sit back and relax as you treat yourself to some of the best eats in the area.
