While we patiently wait for spring to arrive (and endure whatever Mother Nature throws at us), we can daydream about horseback riding at Santa’s Stables, great movies at the Holiday Drive-In, and coaster rides at Holiday World & Splashin Safari.
In the meantime, it’s always the right season to visit local landmarks like Lincoln State Park and Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial. Even when the ground is covered with snow you can take a walk, look back at your tracks in the snow and wonder how big Abe’s were when he walked through 200 years ago. Don’t forget to visit Monkey Hollow or Pepper’s Ridge Winery for a bottle of wine to have on hand in case we get snowed in again.
