Looking for an explosively good time this holiday weekend? You’ll find plenty of Fourth of July fun—and fireworks—around this area!
Make plans to bring the whole family to these festive events.

4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza

Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari lights up the whole town with its 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza! Get in the spirit of the holiday at the park’s 4th of July section with themed rides, shows, shops, and restaurants. Then at closing time, turn your eyes skyward and enjoy a stunning fireworks display. (Don’t forget your souvenir 3D Fireworks Glasses—available for free only on the 4th!)
Can’t make it to Holiday World on the 4th? The park will present Saturday Night Fireworks on July 11, 18, 25, and August 1.

Abraham Lincoln Freedom Festival

The annual Abraham Lincoln Freedom Festival is the perfect place to celebrate the 4th! Check out the car show, rummage sale, food tent (including famous homemade ice cream), music, plus take a step back in time with a visit to Lincoln Pioneer Village & Museum. The day’s festivities wrap up with a brilliant fireworks show at dusk.

Nearby 4th of July Fun

If that’s not enough 4th of July fun for you, there are events happening in our neighboring areas, too! Bring your family, friends, and lawn chairs to the fireworks display at Patoka Lake in nearby Birdseye, Indiana, on July 4. Or head across the river to Diamond Lake Resort in Owensboro, Kentucky, for the Freedom Bash & Fireworks, July 4 – 6.
