Imagine the fun of being a seven year old boy tracing the steps of Abraham Lincoln. The Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial offers a beautiful museum to explore, not the mention great trails to walk while pretending to be Abe. Inside Lincoln State Park, he can see just how tall Lincoln was while he explores the Bicentennial Plaza, then visit the Nature Center to view all the cool creatures which can be found in the woods. Touring the home of Lincoln’s employer, Colonel William Jones, offers a look at the early development of Indiana in the carefully restored 1834 Federal-design home. Picture the amazement of a modern child when he realizes there were no televisions in the house!
Did you know Abe Lincoln had a horse named “Old Bob”? How much fun would a young boy have capping off his day learning about Lincoln by visiting Santa’s Stables and going for a horseback ride?
