2015 Santa Claus Postmark
Posted on November 2, 2015

It’s that time of the year again. The excitement is building around the holiday season and the town of Santa Claus is gearing up for three festive weekends full of family events during the Santa Claus Christmas Celebration.
One of our favorite parts here at the Visitors Bureau is getting to announce the special picture postmark from the small-but-famous Santa Claus, Indiana, Post Office. As the only post office in the world with Santa’s name, it receives over 400,000 pieces of mail during just the month of December.
Postmaster Marian Balbach selects a unique postmark each year that is designed by a local high school student. Marian says, “I like this year’s postmark because it’s different. It’s clean and simple with Santa’s jolly face and I like that the date goes inside the snowflake.”
