Celebrate National Parks Week Weekends at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial fee free. National Parks Week is America’s largest celebration of national heritage where you can make great connections, explore amazing places, discover open spaces, and enjoy affordable vacations.

Visit the site where Abraham Lincoln spent his childhood and learn about the lives of the Lincoln family, who lived here in a pioneer community from 1816 to 1830. This National Park offers a glimpse into the young pioneer life of our 16th president.

The story of the Civil War era president’s 14 formative years in Indiana springs to life at the Living Historical Farm, through a film and exhibits in the Visitors Center, and along the park’s scenic trails.

Take a peaceful walk up the wooded Lincoln Boyhood Trail to the gravesite of Abraham Lincoln’s mother, Nancy Hanks Lincoln, and to the Cabin Site Memorial during a self-guided walking tour.

Park is fee free April 15-26, 2017 and April 22-23, 2017.
