Here at the Spencer County Visitors Bureau, we are sometimes asked the question, “Where is a local, off-the-beaten-path, place to eat?"
There’s a lot to do in our neck of the woods. From exploring the 2,026-acre state park honoring President Lincoln to soaring through the air at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari. Taste some local flavor to help re-build your energy.
Here are some of the best local food spots you just can’t miss:
New Boston Tavern is located near Troy, Indiana. This small-town home cooking will leave a lasting impression. The classic cooking methods and great service are worth visiting again and again.

Frosty’s Fun Center is located in Santa Claus, Indiana, just minutes from Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari. This restaurant offers freshly baked pizza, snacks, sandwiches, ice cream, and more!

- Atmosphere: Frosty’s Fun Center offers family fun for all ages at the arcade, pizzeria, and ice cream parlor. This is a one-stop shop!

Angelo's Pizza is located in Rockport, Indiana. This cozy restaurant is a great place to spend time with friends and family and enjoy a good meal. The famous breadsticks with cheese are sought out near and far.

- Atmosphere: Good people serving great food. Angelo’s Pizza serves a lunch buffet complete with a salad bar, mouth-watering lasagna and spaghetti, fried chicken, and more. In the evening enjoy freshly made pizza, subs, and wings. There is a private dining room for parties with a big screen TV.
