What to do in March

Posted on March 2, 2015

March brings us spring days, the return of a family-friendly attraction, and takes us just a little closer to the summer season. The horses will be ready to take you on the new and improved trails at Santa’s Stables, which opens on March 22, 2015. This is a perfect opportunity if you are looking for a spring break activity; be sure to call in advance to make a reservation. Read more about what’s new in 2015 at Santa’s Stables here. Santas-Stables-Pony-Rides-Spring_5.JPG Kringle Haus Werkstatt also returns from a winter hiatus. Stop by for a warm cup of coffee or treat yourself to one of the many delectable pastry selections. They are also stocked with creative home furnishings, jewelry, and more, so plan to browse the shop as well. Don’t forget about the Monkey Hollow Winery tasting room located inside Kringle Haus Werkstatt. Sample a variety of wine (blueberry is among customer favorites) made from vines right here in Spencer County. You can also check out their home location in nearby St. Meinrad. As the weather warms up, hit the trails at Lincoln State Park and Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial for some outdoor fun. Leave your cabin fever behind as you walk or bike the Ohio River Scenic Byway. And be sure to make a visit to Christmas Lake Golf Course when you hear the great outdoors calling your name.
