Six Dynamite Dad's Day Ideas

Posted on June 14, 2012

We know how tough it is to find the perfect gift for Father's Day! He's done so much through the years – spending (lots and lots of) time, money, energy – so you want to make his day special and let him know he's truly appreciated! Here are six great ideas that Dad can share with the ones he loves:
  1. A visit through Mother Goose Land on The Freedom Train, Holiday World and Splashin' Safari's original ride, is the perfect way to spend time with the little ones!
  2. Great photo opportunities await you at Santa's Stables, where Dad and the entire family can experience a quaint trail ride.
  3. Golf, anyone? Whether it's 18 holes at Christmas Lake Golf Course or a round of mini-golf at Frosty's Fun Center, this idea is perfect "fore" many Dads.
  4. Lincoln State Park can offer a lazy afternoon on the water, fishing or boating, or BOTH!
  5. Take in a spectacular performance of "A. Lincoln: A Pioneer Tale" at the Lincoln Amphitheatre to see one of our favorite presidents interact as a young boy with his father Thomas and then with his own children years later.
  6. If you're in search of a grown-up gift to enjoy with Dad, stop by family owned and operated Monkey Hollow Winery to savor a complimentary tasting as you sit on the porch and take in the view of the vineyard.
