Fireworks Light Up Christmas in Santa Claus
Posted on December 1, 2020
The sights and sounds of the season will include the color and pop of fireworks this year in Santa Claus, Indiana! A Christmas-themed fireworks display has been added to the Santa Claus Christmas Celebration and is scheduled for Saturday, December 12 at 5:00 pm CT.
If you’re looking for safe and socially distanced seasonal fun, fireworks are a perfect choice. Parking for the fireworks display will be in Holiday World’s Legend parking lot. Enjoy the magical display from the warmth and comfort of your own car... plus, be sure to tune in your radio to hear coordinated Christmas music! (If you choose to watch the display from outside your vehicle, masks are required.)
The fireworks display is possible through the generous donations of
Cunningham Golf & Utility Vehicles (title sponsor) and
Holiday Foods (supporting sponsor).
Visit with Santa
Santa has spent most of the year tucked away safely at the North Pole. So, there haven't been a lot of opportunities for visits with kids. But the Santa Claus Christmas Celebration is offering
visits with Santa—in a unique, safe, and socially distanced way on December 12!
Santa will chat with families from the back of the classic red pick-up truck located outside Evergreen Boutique & Christmas Shop. The truck will be decked out with festive decorations, so bring your camera or phone and snap a picture to remember your visit.
More Festive Fun
Looking for fun before and after the fireworks display? Start the day with Breakfast with Santa. Then shop for Christmas gifts and keepsakes at the Santa Claus Christmas Store, Evergreen Boutique & Christmas Shop, and Santa’s TOYS. And refuel with lunch from one of the food trucks set up throughout town.
There's still time to write a letter to Santa. Stop by the Santa Claus Museum & Village (or make a reservation) to write a letter in the original town post office. You'll get a response by Christmas!
If you’re feeling active, you can join in the Brew Ho Ho 5K Christmas Fun Run. Or take a short drive to Rockport and shop the Rockport Christmas Bazaar.
After the fireworks, head over to Santa’s Candy Castle to stock up on sweet treats… and if you’ve reserved a spot, enjoy the tradition of Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire. Then hop back in the car for a drive-through light adventure. The Santa Claus Land of Lights tells the story of Rudolph in brilliant LED light displays. And the Festival of Lights takes visitors through nine miles of themed residential light displays.
