Experience Totality in the Santa Claus, Indiana, Area

The Santa Claus, Indiana, area, in Spencer County, will be the southeastern "entrance" to the path of totality for the 2024 Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024. The area will experience more than two minutes of the total eclipse.

Eclipse Weekend Fun

Come early and make it a weekend! Sites throughout the area will host eclipse-themed events beginning Friday, April 5.

Experience a very Merry Eclipsemas all weekend long at the Santa Claus Museum & Village. The fun includes "reindeer games," visits with Santa, and more.

Santa Claus Brewing Co. is also celebrating the solar eclipse with a full schedule of fun. Enjoy live music on Friday and Saturday night, a 5K on Sunday, and the main event on Monday!

Spend the day before the eclipse at Lincoln State Park for Total Eclipse of the Park. This family-friendly event will feature sun, moon, and eclipse-themed music from featured entertainment, Sonny & the Moons, plus children's activities, food trucks, and more.

Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial's Solar Eclipse Weekend is packed with educational fun! See informative presentations, take your turn at a telescope, enjoy Junior Ranger activities, and more.

Where to Watch the 2024 Solar Eclipse

The main event happens on Monday, April 8, 2024, and you'll want to find the perfect spot to witness this unique phenomenon!

Holiday World & Splashin' Safari will open its Legend Parking Lot and offer food trucks and music throughout the day. For a peaceful eclipse day experience head to Monte Cassino Shrine at Saint Meinrad Archabbey to enjoy the magnificent sight. And Monkey Hollow Winery and Distillery invites visitors to sip and savor the solar eclipse.

Lincoln State Park, Heritage Hills High School, Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, and other locations in and around Santa Claus, Indiana, will also offer viewing areas.
