You notice the bright lights, the fun displays, and the beautifully decorated homes as your tour the Christmas Lake Village Festival of Lights, but behind all of that is a simple mission.
A mission to bring people together.
In 1984, several Christmas Lake Village residents pondered the idea of neighbors forming to decorate and socialize. Now, in its 31st year, the festival continues to achieve that and much more.
Christmas Lake Village donates all entrance fees (canned goods and small monetary contributions) to a resource center that distributes to local families. In 2014, the festival collected nearly $2,500 and over 500 canned food items!
