More Than $15 Million Invested into Local Tourism

Tourism businesses in Spencer County are gearing up for the peak summer season with additions and enhancements totaling more than $15 million. “Seeing Spencer County businesses continue to enhance their properties, and with new tourism businesses launching this year, we are excited and ready to welcome visitors from all over,” says Melissa Brockman, executive director of the Spencer County Visitors Bureau. “The tourism industry is a tremendous asset for Spencer County and it continues to grow and enrich the community.” Tourism investments for 2017 include: Spencer County is home to nationally known attractions such as Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari, Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort, as well as national and state parks commemorating Lincoln’s Indiana Boyhood Home.
