What to do in June
Posted on May 25, 2018
Summer is here, and the fun is just getting started. Look forward to lots of live music and community celebrations this month.
Here's what to do in June:
June 2
June 4
- Visit the Spencer County Library to see a condensed version of Young Abe Lincoln. The shorter performance is family-friendly, and ideal for the kiddos who might not be able to sit through the full-length version.
- The Spencer County Bicentennial Farmers' Market is a special tribute to the agricultural community that has continued to thrive in Spencer County over the last 200 years.
June 6-9
- Come one, come all... to the Spencer County Fair! Hot air balloons will return to the Spencer County Fair for the first time since 1911! Other attractions include carnival rides, a traveling 3-ring circus, and, of course, fair food!
June 20-25
- Celebrate summer at the Spencer County 4-H Fair! Youth projects, livestock shows, kid’s activities, horse and pony shows, and the Friday night Tractor Pull highlight the schedule of events. Find the full fair schedule here.
June 23
June 29
- Top off a fun day at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari with Friday Night Fireworks. Bonus tip: Watch from the Thanksgiving section for excellent views of the show!
