Trip Tips - What to Bring

Packing for a family vacation can be stressful. One family member may want to bring enough to be prepared for any possible scenario, while another is ready to leave with just the shirt on his back (and pants we hope). One of the great things about vacationing in Santa Claus, Indiana, is that we're all about families and want to make things as easy for you as possible. Many lodging options want you to feel at home and provide a cozy atmosphere for you and your family to relax after a day of fun. Holiday World and Splashin' Safari wants to keep you safe and healthy by providing free sunscreen and free drinks, including water and Gatorade. And, all of our local attractions provide free parking!

So what DO you need to bring?

• A camera to capture those great family moments. Plus, extra batteries or your charging cable. • Sunglasses so you can enjoy all the sights without squinting. • Walking shoes to keep your feet happy. • Your swimsuit if you're planning a day at Splashin' Safari, Lake Lincoln, and other area water activities. • Tickets - purchase tickets or make reservations in advance for places like Holiday World & Splashin' Safari and Santa's Stables. • Clothing appropriate to the season you're visiting.
