Posted on November 29, 2017

This is it! Your family has been looking forward to celebrating the holiday season in Santa Claus, Indiana, and sights throughout Lincoln's Indiana Boyhood Home for months. There are so many special events, it's possible to get overwhelmed. Don't worry, we're here to help! We've created the ultimate Christmas Celebration itinerary for guaranteed fun! Follow this guide to laugh, play, and jingle all the way.

Friday, December 1:

Plan to arrive with some time to get settled into your home for the weekend. Whether you're in a hotel room or a cabin, your family will appreciate some time to relax after the drive to town. Christmas Celebration Week 1 Christmas Dinner with Santa is the main event tonight. Enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner buffet style and visits with Santa. The evening finishes with milk, cookies, and story time with Santa and his elf. Get a good night's rest, tomorrow is a big day!

Saturday, December 2:

Start the morning at the Santa Claus Museum & Village. Children can write letters to Santa in the original Santa Claus Post Office. Stick around until 10:00 am CT for The Story of Santa Claus in the historic Santa Claus Church. Christmas Celebration Week 1 Head to Brew Ho Ho for live music and Christmas merriment. Local breweries will have special holiday beers available as well as cheese balls, Christmas cookies, burgers, and bratwursts, and more. This is a 21-and-over-only-event. Make your way to the southern region of the county for the City of Rockport Christmas Festivities. You don't want to miss the Rockport Christmas parade at 2:00 pm CT. After the parade, visit the Lincoln Pioneer Village & Museum where you'll experience a very merry pioneer Christmas. Back in Santa Claus, you can visit Santa's Candy Castle to take part in one of the oldest Christmas traditions - chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Indulge in a gourmet hot chocolate to stay warm and cozy while watching the chestnuts roast. Finish the day with a drive through the Santa Claus Land of Lights at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort. Every vehicle gets one free photo with Rudolph, too!

Sunday, December 3:

Don't forget to get your picture with Santa at the Santa Claus Christmas Store. While you're there, browse thousands of ornaments, Christmas decorations, and home décor.  Christmas Celebration Week 1 Just across the way, visit Evergreen Boutique & Christmas Shop. In addition to holiday items and modern women's clothing, they'll have face painting and Snow To Go demonstrations. Before leaving town, have lunch together at Frosty's Fun Center. Reminisce about your fun, action-packed weekend over a delicious, specialty pizza. Wow, what a weekend!
