A Little Love for Our Local Wineries

Posted on September 12, 2016

Indiana is looking for the top wineries throughout the state and we happen to have not one, but two gems here in our neck of the woods. And here’s why they deserve your vote: Location. Both Monkey Hollow Winery and Pepper’s Ridge Winery are situated off of quiet country roads and offer some of the most beautiful, rural scenery for visitors to enjoy. Pepper’s Ridge is nestled in 600 secluded, wooded acres, making for the perfect, peaceful spot to wind down. At Monkey Hollow, you can sip locally made wines on a shady porch while looking out across a lake, nearly seven acres of grapevines, and the rolling hills of southern Indiana. Free tastings. Both of wineries offer complimentary wine tastings and they’ll help you find the right flavor to satisfy your taste buds. The Hoosier Wine Trail. Located less than thirty minutes from one another, you can check off two of the eight boutique wineries along the Hoosier Wine Trail by stopping into Pepper’s Ridge and Monkey Hollow. Homegrown. Both of our wineries source locally when possible. Most of their wines are from estate grown grapes. Pepper’s Ridge even utilizes fresh peaches from Lakeview Orchards for their delicious Lakeview Peach Wine – a favorite around here. Have you had a great experience at one (or both) of our local wineries or simply love their wines? Show a little love and vote for them here.
