Just One?

Anything related to food is always a hot topic around the Visitors Bureau. We love to eat... and talk about eating, too! In spirit of the big holiday coming up, we asked our local tourism partners what their favorite dish to dine on is for Thanksgiving. Pumpkin pie? Green bean casserole? A dish unique to your family's traditions? I must say my favorite part of the meal is a tie between my aunt's homemade noodles and the dressing. We had a tie for pumpkin pie and stuffing! Kathy Hedinger from Saint Meinrad Archabbey Gift Shop and Tammy Heckle from Holly Tree Christmas Shop both replied with pumpkin pie as their favorite as long as it's with LOTS of whipped cream. Santa replied that his favorite part of the meal is dessert. We could've guessed that! Kevin Klosowski from Santa's Candy Castle said his favorite dish is broccoli cheese casserole, a recipe of his mother's. And Leah Koch, an owner of Holiday World & Splashin' Safari, picked the cranberry sauce from her family's meal. Andy Hedinger from Monkey Hollow Winery couldn't pick just one. He said he likes it all, paired with their cranberry wine. And Laura Barker from Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort replied that her favorite dish is "sweet tater casserole!" It's all over the place but one thing is for sure – we all love to eat. Care to share your favorite dish? Comment below!
